Legal & Fair Use

Fair use, POPIA & the rules of this register.

The principles that keep this a trust index - not a complaints wall, not a blacklist.

No public complaint details

TFC Agent Trust does not publish the text, screenshots, or narrative content of any individual complaint. Public-facing surfaces show aggregated scoring, category counts, and trend data only.

Evidence-based submissions

Every report must include verifiable evidence sufficient for our review team to assess the claim. Reports without adequate evidence are marked 'Insufficient evidence' and do not contribute to scoring.

Right of reply

Agencies named in a report are notified within 48 hours of internal verification and are given a structured 14-day window to respond, contest, or resolve the issue. No scoring change occurs before the right-of-reply window closes.

No anonymous public accusations

Reports require identified, verified reporters. We never publish reporter identities, but anonymous submissions are not accepted and do not contribute to public scoring.

Data protection (POPIA / GDPR)

TFC Agent Trust complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and equivalent international frameworks. Personal information is collected only with consent, stored securely, and used solely for verification, review, and right-of-reply purposes.

Correction and dispute process

Agencies and individuals may request correction of inaccurate information at any time. Disputed reports are escalated to an independent review panel. Where information is found to be incorrect, public scoring is adjusted and the underlying record is amended.

Neutral language

All reports are reviewed for emotive, defamatory, or non-neutral language. We work in factual, evidence-based terms only.

Aggregated scoring only

The Trust Index is a calibrated aggregate. It is not a verdict on any individual interaction. Scores move slowly and reflect patterns, not single events.
